First-Year Students Preview
The Office of Housing and Residence Life fully participates in the university Preview sessions facilitated for incoming, first-year students. During these sessions, students, parents, and friends will be able to attend one of three presentations given by our staff members that covers information on what to expect for move-in and how to get started on the right foot here at ODU.
Our office also participates the services fair and representatives will be on-hand to answer your questions about living on campus and provide you useful information. We also understand that many students will want to see their actual room when they come to campus for Preview. While we would love the opportunity to take students on tours of all of our residential buildings, the summer is a busy time for the facilities. Many residential complexes undergo extensive cleaning and maintenance upkeep during the summer and many are used for summer camps and conferences. However, we have made rooms available in the Rogers Complex to give students a glimpse into college life. We have also created displays for each of the residential complexes that first-year students are assigned to in order to provide you some insight to the different options.
We understand that not all students and family members may be able to participate in Preview or make it to our presentations, so we have linked our presentation below for your viewing pleasure.
If at any time we can be of any assistance to make your transition to ODU more successful, please do not hesitate to give our office a call or stop by.
